Having just completed her studies at the University of Chester, Catherine Broadhurst is enjoying the double success of achieving a first class honours degree as well as receiving the highest results of all the students on the course.
Catherine, who studied Accounting and Finance, also received the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants Award, which is designed to encourage excellence in accounting.
Tutor Helen Clayfield nominated Catherine for the award on the strength of her results. She said “I am delighted I was able to nominate Catherine for this prize. She has demonstrated a commitment and enthusiasm to learning throughout her studies at the University of Chester. She has been an excellent student and I wish her every success in her future career in the accounting profession.”
Murray Smith employed Catherine on a summer internship in the second year of her degree and we were so impressed with her work that we offered her employment as a Trainee Chartered Accountant on the completion of her degree.
